AFL South East has made the call to postpone the start of the season for local football leagues due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Mornington Peninsula Nepean and South East Women’s leagues have been postponed until 1 June. THREE people have been arrested after an investigation into alleged drug trafficking and cultivation across the bayside suburbs of Melbourne. Two men and a woman were arrested on 13 March after police seized drugs and cash. The three were arrested at a property in Burraneer Drive, Keysborough. Police allege that they found three kilograms of dried cannabis, ecstasy tablets, and powder believed to be heroin at the property. THE Frankston and District Basketball Association has closed indefinitely as a “precaution against COVID-19”. FDBA general manager Wayne Holdsworth confirmed last week that all activities sanctioned by the association would be suspended “until further notice”. The FDBA’s senior and domestic competitions have been put on hold. Frankston Blues teams did not play in the VJBL on Friday night, 13 March, and did not train on the following Sunday.
