MPNFL A WORKING party representing the majority of Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League clubs has called on AFL South East to look at existing clubs within the area to introduce a third division in 2019. The working party, which includes John Coburn (Frankston YCW), Mick Dunne (Mt Eliza) and Chris Sharman (Frankston Bombers), met with AFLSE boss John Anderson last week. VFL THE Dolphins have appointed St Kilda assistant coach Adam Skrobalak as senior coach for the next two seasons. Skrobalak, who will continue his role at St Kilda in a part-time capacity, as well as coaching Dolphins, is a former premiership coach in both the Bellarine and Geelong and District League, as well as holding assistant roles at Port Melbourne VFL and Western Jets in the TAC. AFL South East has succeeded in executing stage one of its grand plan for divisional football throughout the region, restructuring the Nepean and Peninsula competitions last Friday. As was predicted months ago, all 22 clubs were informed last Friday that Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League divisions will be restructured in 2018. Chelsea, Karingal and Langwarrin drop from Peninsula to Division Two and Frankston Bombers, Sorrento and Rosebud elevate from Nepean to Division One.
