Dirt Bike Accident – Frankston City Motorcycle Track. Old Wells Rd Seaford.
NB: Do not put a credit on this photo, the people at the track were a bit agro.
I did shoot some of the photo’s from their property in the spectator area but moved to the BMX track to get the rest of the shots.
I was told there was one fatality, His wife and kids could have been at the track and witnessed the accident but I’m ot sure on this Channel Nine and Channel Seven were there so might be worth letting it go to air on TV and watching the news as they might have more information. The second person involved was stabilised at the track and taken to hospital in an ambulance. The Air Ambulance was called and landed at the BMX track but was not used, it was the spare Air Ambulance as the others were on duty, I’ve never seen this one used before.
Sorry not too many details but I didn’t want to hang around the track as other riders were taking it pretty hard.
I’m not sure if there has been an incident like this at the track before but the people from the track said they had all the safety things in place and it was a tragic accident. One of the Ambulance officers appeared visibly upset by what had happened.
***NB:*** No credit on photo’s and please check with Police about putting photo’s up as all relatives might not have been notified. with it being Easter family members might be away and it might take a while to contact them.
Finally I was told the persons wife was at the track not far from where I took the photo so I didn’t want to make the situation worse for her by hanging around.
This photo was taken from the spectator area on the premises. no one asked me to leave.
