A man has been charged with seven counts of rape and other offences following a serious sexual assault in Cheltenham on Thursday.
The 18-year-old Cheltenham man contacted police this morning and has been interviewed at the Sexual Crime Squad headquarters.
The investigation relates to the serious sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in the early hours of Thursday morning at her Devon Street home.
The man will front the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
Along with the seven charges of rape, the man has also been charged with seven counts of indecent assault and one count of aggravated burglary.
