Police arrested nine people as part of an operation in the Bonbeach and Frankston areas targeting drug trafficking yesterday.
Members of the Caulfield Divisional Response Unit arrested three people in a car park at Oliver’s Hill in Frankston about 9.40am.
A traffickable quality of ICE was located during the arrest.
34-year-old Bonbeach man, Shane Dimmock, was remanded to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court today, charged with trafficking a drug of dependence and other drug related offences.
A 33-year-old Seaford woman was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court charged with drug related offences.
A 42-year-old Pearcedale man was also arrested however has been released pending summons.
A warrant was then executed at a property on Bondi Road, Bonbeach.
A large quantity of drugs including ICE, ecstasy and cannabis was seized, along with illegal fireworks, OC spray and a significant quantity of cash.
A 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from the address were arrested and charged with drug offences.
Jake Davis was remanded to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court today charged with drug trafficking, possession of Methyl-amphetamines, Speed, MDMA, Cocaine, Cannabis, Prescription Medication, Proceeds of Crime, Possess Explosives and Possess OC Spray.
The woman was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court charged with possession of Methyl-amphetamines.
A warrant was then executed at a property on Nepean Highway, Seaford and four men were arrested.
Police seized a quantity of drugs from the property including ICE, speed and cannabis, along with prescription drugs.
A 40-year-old Seaford man was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 10 December charged with possessing a drug of dependence.
A 32-year-old Frankston man was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 10 December charged with possessing a drug of dependence.
38-year-old Seaford man was bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 10 December charged with possessing a drug of dependence.
A 45-year-old Seaford man was also arrested at the address and has been released pending summons.
A warrant was then executed at a property on Hatch Street, Pearcedale and police seized more ICE, a samurai sword and a tomahawk.
Detective Senior Sergeant Shane Rix said today’s arrests and seizures are a reminder that police will continue to take action against those that engage in this type of criminal activity.
“Today’s warrants should send a clear message to those in the Bonbeach and Frankston areas that police will not tolerate these offences and will continue to proactively target those who engage in this type of criminal behaviour.”
The arrests follow a four month investigation targeting the sale and distribution of Methyl-amphetamines in the Bonbeach and surrounding areas.
