Police are currently negotiating with a man at an address in Frankston following an alleged stabbing in Seaford yesterday, (Monday 14 December).

Police were called to a Dandenong Road East address following reports that a man was armed with a knife about 5.30pm.

The armed man confronted police before going back into the home.

Attending police established a cordon around the address and began to negotiate with the man.

Police believe there are four other people in the house with the man who have been are unable to leave.

The surrounding area has been cordoned off as specialist police continue with their negotiations.

Police believe all the people in the house are known to one another.
