Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance to identify a man following a report of conmen offering trades services in the Seaford area.

The services, offered by the false business First Choice Home Solutions, range from roof repair and gutter cleaning to carpentry.

Police are urging the community to check the credentials of tradesmen, especially before accepting unsolicited offers of service.

They are searching for several men in relation to fraud offences.

The men are aged in their 20s, speak with Irish accents and are believed to be frequenting the Seaford and Carrum areas.

Police have released a facial composite of one of the men believed to be involved in the crime.

He was believed to be driving a small white van.

Anyone who may have information on the men or the group or with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
