POLICE are investigating the theft of credit cards that were later used in Clayton South, Keysborough, Dandenong, Doveton and Narre Warren.
Dandenong CIU detectives believe that an unknown person broke into cars on Hanleath Avenue, Springvale on 1 September.
Cards stolen from the vehicles were used later that day at service stations and a shopping complex.
Images of a man (below) who police believe can assist with their enquiries have been released. He is perceived to be Caucasian and about 25 to 35-years-old with a medium build and brown hair. He has a number of distinctive tattoos on his right elbow, right and left forearm, and neck.
The man was also seen with another unknown man in a silver Holden Commodore sedan with false number plates.
