Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a theft from a car in Aspendale Gardens and subsequent deceptions in Chelsea Heights and Aspendale Gardens earlier this month.
Investigators have been told an unknown person gained entry to a vehicle on Angie Court between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on 1 February, stealing a wallet
Bank cards from the wallet were later used at two convenience stores and a restaurant on Wells Road, Chelsea Heights and a bank in Aspendale Gardens.
Police have released images of a man they believe can assist with their investigation.
