Key facts from today’s Victorian COVID-19 update:
- The total number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Victoria is 1,085 – an increase of 49 from yesterday.
- Yesterday a man in his eighties died in hospital, taking the number of people who have died in Victoria from coronavirus to seven.
- More than 51,000 tests have been conducted to date.
- Currently 37 people are in hospital – including seven patients in intensive care – and 476 people have recovered.
Public areas close until ‘further notice’
BOAT ramps, beaches, skate parks, and playgrounds have been closed around Frankston to stop people gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic.
New visiting rules at hospital
PENINSULA Health has changed their visiting rules to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
