POLICE commandeered bicycles during a pursuit in Bangholme, 20 June.
Police say that a stolen Hyundai sedan crashed into two cars on Eastlink, around 8.20am. Three people fled from the car on foot into the Dandenong Creek Trail.
Two attending police officers borrowed an electric bike and a push bike from two onlookers, and pursued the suspects.
The three people were chased for more than a kilometer before police caught up with them. Police then arrested two 15-year-boys and a 16-year-old girl, who were taken to hospital for observation.
The bicycles were returned to their rightful owners.
