Detectives from Frankston Crime Investigation Unit are hoping to identify a man following a burglary and subsequent deceptions across Melbourne’s south last month.
Investigators have been told an unknown man broke into a business on the Nepean Highway in Frankston about 1.45pm on Thursday, 26 August.
The man stole a wallet inside a filing cabinet before leaving the premises.
Shortly after, the man used stolen credit cards to purchase items totalling over $1,200 from stores across Frankston, Glen Huntly and St Kilda between 1.50pm and 5pm.
Investigators have today released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a solid build and short dark hair.
He also has distinctive cross tattoos behind his right ear and on his right thumb.
