A FENCED dog park in Carrum is officially open.
The new pay area for pooches is at Roy Dore Reserve, It is fully fenced, and also features a nature play activity area.
The park cost $367,000, with funding coming from the state government.
Kingston councillor Cameron Howe said “this shaded, play space for dogs in the heart of Carrum in a secure, fenced environment has become a popular addition to Roy Dore Reserve, with nearby picnicking, playground and sport amenities for a range of users.”
The new park contains grass, gravel and mulch, a drinking fountain with a dog bowl, and new canopy shade tree plantings.
Off-lead dogs must remain in sight and under effective control from their owners at all times.
