POLICE are looking into a car crash involving an allegedly stolen car in Skye last week.

The collision occurred at around 9pm on 7 September on Ballarto Road. Police allege a white Ford Ranger stolen from Somerville on 25 July was involved.

The Ford Ranger was traveling north on Westernport Highway when the driver allegedly ran a red light and crashed into an oncoming car. The two Ford Ranger occupants then fled on foot.

There were two people in the other car. The 49-year-old woman driving was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the passenger had no injuries.

Police have released an image of a vehicle as part of their investigation. Anyone with information about it can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
