A TOW truck was impounded from the roads of Carrum Downs last week for being un-roadworthy.
Police spotted the truck on Hall Road at around 12.30am on 13 September. They allege the truck had one headlight and had trouble slowing through a roundabout.
The truck was pulled over shortly afterwards. Police also say it had bald tyres and was leaking brake fluid.
The driver was a 26-year-old man from Clyde. Police say he underwent a preliminary oral fluid test, which returned a positive result.
Police interviewed the man in relation to disqualified driving and other traffic offences. He is expected to be charged on summons. His truck was impounded at a cost of $1006.
