FRANKSTON’S all-abilities basketball team has begun their 2023 season.

Thirty players play on the Frankston District Basketball Association side. FDBA CEO Wayne Holdsworth said he was happy to see the season begin.

“I remember the beginning of the all-abilities competition with young Lachie, who would watch his brother play and wanted an opportunity to also play basketball. Lachie now has a place to play basketball,” he said.

The side is sponsored by Frankston Council. Councillor Sue Baker said “it is fantastic to see so many people here. Sport has the ability to bring people together who otherwise would never meet. I applaud the FDBA for doing so much to improve participation for people with diverse needs.”
