DIVERS have been brought in to help complete the Lathams Road upgrade.

Last month, a diver went three metres underwater to remove a plug which had been installed to stop water flow into Boggy Creek so that it could be drained. Water will now flow freely through an upgraded culvert between Carrum Downs, Seaford, and Boggy Creek.

All new lanes opened on Lathams Road in late July. The finishing touches are now being put on the redevelopment.

All eastbound lanes on Hall Road closed between the Frankston-Dandenong Road intersection and Lavender Lane from 7pm Thursday 24 August to 5am Monday 28 August to lay the final asphalt layer.

Major Road Projects Victoria program director Marc Peterson said the Lathams Road upgrade “is a vital project for the local community and businesses. We thank people for their patience throughout construction as we get on with our finishing works.”
