Two teens charged following aggravated burglaries in Patterson Lakes

Southern Metropolitan Regional Crime Squad detectives charged two teenage boys in relation to two separate aggravated burglaries in Patterson Lakes on 24 September.

The first incident took place at an address on Long Island Point around 2.20am where it is alleged offenders stole a wallet, cash and two vehicles.

The second incident took place at an address on Schooner Bay Drive just before 3am where it is alleged offenders gained entry to the home and stole cash and one vehicle.

A 16-year-old Dandenong boy has been charged with home invasion, aggravated burglaries, theft of motor vehicles, possess cannabis and commit offences on bail.

A 17-year-old Doveton boy has been charged with home invasion, aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicles and theft.

They have both been remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

The arrests form part of an ongoing investigation into a series of aggravated burglaries within the Southern Region.
