Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a burglary in Langwarrin last week.

A grey Ford Ranger Raptor with false plates parked outside a property on Elm Grove about 8.30am on Thursday, 12 October.

It is understood a man and woman got out of the vehicle and entered the house through an unlocked internal garage door.

Police were told they were disturbed by a neighbour and fled the scene in the vehicle.

There were no injuries and nothing was taken.

Investigators have released an image of a vehicle believed to have been used in the incident and a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as having a large build, aged in his early 30s with a shaved head and dark-coloured tattoos.

He was wearing a hi-vis vest and white sneakers.

The woman is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in her early 30s with long blonde hair.

Anyone with information or CCTV footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
