FRANKSTON High School students have teamed up to create a mural for rehabilitation patients.

The mural has been painted at St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital. It was brought to life by year 11 students Clemence Redey, Monet Wischki, and Taimana Edmands

Redey said it was rewarding to give back to the community. “I liked the idea of doing something for my community and to help make the hospital stay for patients a bit better,” Redey said.

A pomegranate forms the heart of the new mural. St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital director of clinical services, Karen Ward, said “the pomegranate is an important symbol to St John of God Health Care. It represents our heritage – as the original symbol of the Sisters of St John of God – and our vision for the future.”

The mural is now permanently on display in the gym.
