CHARGES have been laid against a building company after the 2022 death of an employee working in Cheltenham.
In February 2022, a 69-year-old man working on commercial units fell and died. WorkSafe alleges he fell while descending from the mezzanine level via an unsecured ladder.
Minoan Constructions Pty Ltd has been charged under section 26(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for failing to ensure a workplace under its management or control was safe and without risks to health.
A court date was set for 8 March at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
