MORDIALLOC Life Saving Club came away from the 2024 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships as big winners.
The 2024 edition of the competition was held on the Sunshine Coast between 13 April and 21 April. The Mordialloc Life Saving Club attended, and came home with two gold medals, two silvers, and four bronzes.

Mordialloc LSC’s Samantha Barrow won gold in the 45-49 beach flags and silver in the 45-49 female beach sprint. Jamison Cox won gold in the U15 male beach sprint , then won bronze alongside Flynn Curry, Addison Lewis, Charlie Squires and Amon Tarr in the U14 and U15 mixed beach relay. Swayde Cole won silver in the U17 female beach flags, and the Mordialloc Euros and Mordialloc Mojos won bronze in the male surf boat and the reserve female surf boat events respectively.

Medal-winner Jamison Cox said it was exciting to come home with the gold. “It feels pretty good to win,” he said.
In total, around 8000 life savers from 314 clubs nationally took part in the competition. Around 500 of those life savers were Victorian. The events took place across Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Coolum, and Alexandra Headland beaches.
