A BABY has died at a Skye family day care centre.

Emergency services were called to the Skye day care on Wednesday afternoon. The infant could not be revived.

In a statement, Victoria Police confirmed that it is investigating the death. It is not being treated as suspicious.

“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of an infant at a family day care facility in Skye,” the police statement read.

“An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing but the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
