A Frankston dad is ready to put his motto of “if you help others, good karma will help you” into action following his life-changing $1.2 million win in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Melburnian held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4561, drawn Saturday 5 April 2025. He looks forward to a total prize of $1,260,543.17.

“Thank you very much! I can’t believe it,” he exclaimed.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I checked the Saturday Lotto results on the weekend.

“It’s come at the most perfect time as retirement is just around the corner. I’ve worked hard all my life. I once had five jobs at the same time. I’m very much ready to retire.

“I’m also a big believer in helping others. Traditionally, where I’m from, when you receive something, you have to gift and pass it on. If you help others, good karma will help you!

“I’ll be giving $100,000 to my daughter and $1,000 to individual family and friends facing difficulties.

“I hope that others in my local community can also have a win too!”

His winning System 7 entry was purchased at Beach Street Newsagency in Frankston.

Beach Street Newsagency owner Mrinal Sharma said she was very happy to have sold a division one winning entry to a regular customer.

“We’re stoked! We will highlight this major lottery win all over the store and will be sharing the exciting news with all of our customers,” she said.

“It’s been three years since we last sold a division one winning entry – a long time coming for Beach Street Newsagency!

“Our team are very excited and can’t believe one of our customers has won more than $1.2 million. I’m sure it would be nothing short of life-changing for the winner.

“Congratulations to the division one winner and we wish them all the very best with their prize!”

In 2024, TattsLotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
