KINGSTON councillor Jane Agirtan will return to court in June to answer a charge of breaching a personal safety intervention order.

Agirtan faced court over the matter on 25 February. She returned to Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 7 April, where the matter was adjourned until 20 June to be heard at the Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court. At the February hearing, police foreshadowed that they would seek diversion to resolve the matter. At the April hearing they told the Magistrate that they had since taken diversion off the table.

Agirtan was elected at the 2024 local government elections. She represents Chicquita Ward.
