PINES struck late in the game to beat Frankston YCW in a thriller on Saturday night.
John Coburn Oval hosted the match last weekend. Pines was in control for most of the afternoon – the Pythons led by 29 points at three-quarter-time. Frankston YCW succumbed to a heartbreaking 10.8 (68) to 10.12 (72) defeat. Cameron Olden was excellent for Pines, booting five goals. Khyal Jacobson, Russell Gabriel, Johnathan Haidon, Kayden Sharp, and Nicholas Braund were also named in the best.
Luke Paynter was the Stonecats’ best.

After three consecutive wins by less than a goal, Langwarrin supporters could breathe a little easier on Saturday. The Kangaroos beat Sorrento by 52 points at Lloyd Park. Langwarrin wrapped up the win thanks to a dominant second half. The final scoreboard read Langwarrin 13.14 (92) to Sorrento 6.4 (40).
