Police have arrested a 19-year-old man following a series of armed robberies and burglaries across Melbourne earlier this month.
Detectives from the North West Metro and Southern Metro Regional Crime Squads executed a search warrant at a Seaford address yesterday, where they made the arrest and seized a machete believed to have been used during this offending.
Police will allege the man carried out seven armed robberies, four attempted armed robberies, two aggravated burglaries, and two attempted aggravated burglaries at businesses across Werribee, Tarneit, Truganina, Laverton North, Williams Landing, Oakleigh South, Vermont, Narre Warren South, Bentleigh East, Berwick, Beaconsfield, Clyde North, Cranbourne, Nunawading, and Mount Waverley. This offending occurred between 11.40pm on Monday 30 June and 9.25pm on Wednesday 2 July.
He has been charged with 34 offences relating to 29 separate incidents, with some of the charges including seven counts of armed robbery, four counts of attempted armed robbery, two aggravated burglaries with an offensive weapon, two attempted aggravated burglaries and eight thefts. He was remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
Two other boys – a 15-year-old and 17-year-old from the Greater Dandenong area, were also arrested in relation to these incidents on 4 July 2025. The 15-year-old was granted bail today by a children’s court while the 17-year-old remains in custody.
