NEARLY $2 million is set to be spent on road upgrades on Beilby Street.

Kingston Council has awarded a $1.93 million contract to improve the Moorabbin road. The project will encompass the full reconstruction of the asphalt road pavement, construction of new drainage pipes and pits, and the improvement of nearby footpaths, crossings, and kerbs.

Kingston mayor Georgina Oxley said “good roads, safe footpaths and reliable drainage are essential services that support our  neighbourhoods every day.”

“This upgrade will not only improve the condition of Beilby Street but will also strengthen the drainage  network to better manage stormwater and changing rainfall patterns,” Cr Oxley said.
