POLICE arrested a man in Frankston after he was allegedly riding on the wrong side of the road at speeds of up to 170 kph on his motorbike.
Police allege the man was speeding down Dandenong Frankston road at around 3.30am on 1 March.
The man allegedly dumped his bike in Crib Point and fled through the bushes. The K9 unit was deployed during the arrest.
The man was arrested with cuts and abrasions on his legs, and given first aid.
The man initially was carrying a female passenger, but police said he had stopped to let her off during the pursuit.
Somerville Highway patrol are continuing the investigation.
