Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man following the theft and use of a credit card in Carrum Downs earlier this month.

The theft occurred when an unknown offender stole the credit card, after breaking into a parked car on Oberon Drive in Carrum Downs, overnight on 9-10 June.

The stolen credit card was then used at a Frankston-Dandenong Road service station to purchase cigarettes, valued at $150, just after 5am on 10 June.

Investigators have released images of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information or who recognises the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
