THERE has been an outpouring of community support for a local mother who died during childbirth last week.

Chelsea Kindergarten vice president Bec Elizabeth and her daughter Peyton died last week after complications during labour. Ms Elizabeth was engaged to her partner Dale Foster, and is mother to 15-month-old Jax.

Chelsea Kindergarten president Liz Jowlett paid tribute to Ms Elizabeth on social media.

“Bec Elizabeth was our kindergarten vice president, she was so passionate about our kindergarten and all the families. Apart from the fantastic work as a volunteer on our committee of management, in her personal life Bec was a proud mum to her 15 month old Jax, excited to get married to the love of her life fiancé Dale Foster, and over the moon soon to be mum to a little girl Peyton, and a step mum to four beautiful children that she loved like they were her own Jedd, Lily, Georgia and Abbey,” Ms Jowlett said.

“Bec was a supremely kind, caring and giving person. She was one of the strongest people there is, battling problems throughout her pregnancy that would break the best of us, whilst dealing with personal torments from her past. But she remained strong, and so thrilled to be meeting her baby girl soon.

“Tragically Bec lost Peyton during labour and complications led to a fight for her own life that sadly she lost. This is devastating for her family and friends, it has left the community in shock and disbelief.”

A Gofundme page set up to support Ms Elizabeth’s family has now surpassed $25,000 in donations. The page can be found at gofundme.com/f/dale-amp-jax
