A MAN has been arrested in Aspendale after allegedly committing a series of armed robberies.

The 22-year-old was arrested on Ebbs Street around 3.30am, 5 March. He was hit with 19 charges by police.

The alleged offender was charged with aggravated burglary, intentionally causing injury, theft and attempted theft of motor vehicle, aggravated burglary with an imitation firearm, unlawful assault, multiple thefts from motor vehicles, and resisting arrest. The offending occurred across Aspendale and Mordialloc.

The man was also charged with a burglary and theft of motor vehicle in Upway and an armed robbery in Bentleigh East.

The 22-year-old of no fixed address appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court 5 March.
