REGISTRATION is set to open for 2021 four-year-old kindergarten places.

Applications through the central registration system for Kingston kindergartens open 1 May.

The central registration system covers 26 local kindergartens. The mayor Georgina Oxley said the system “ensures a fair allocation process”.

“Parents can nominate their top three preferred kindergartens and over recent years around 97 per cent of families have received an offer at their kindergarten of choice,” she said.

“Places are prioritised based on a set of criteria including proximity and prior connection to the kindergarten, so to be included in the first allocation round simply submit your registration by 30 June, there’s no need to rush.”
