A drink driver was picked up in Mentone last night after crashing into three parked cars.
Police were called to Glenelg Drive after residents reported the crash and discovered the damaged cars about 8pm.
The driver allegedly involved didn’t remain at the scene but was picked up by police a short distance away in Avenza Street.
The 28-year-old driver returned a positive breath test before he was taken back to a police station and furnished an evidentiary breath test reading of 0.198.
The Mentone probationary driver who was also currently suspended from driving is expected to be charged on summons in relation to leaving the scene of a crash, drink driving and driving while suspended.
