FIFTEEN teenagers have been arrested over the alleged destruction of an unoccupied home in Aspendale Gardens.
The Wells Street home was allegedly broken into numerous times throughout September. Police say that there was extensive damage inside the home including smashed windows and walls, graffitied walls and fixtures, torn out electrical and light fittings, and fire damage.
In the last two months, police have arrested fifteen teenagers in relation to the damage. They charged two 14-year-olds from Aspendale Gardens and a 14-year-old from Keysborough on summons with criminal damage and trespass, with all three scheduled to face a children’s court at a later date.
Ten children between 13 and 14 were issued official cautions for criminal damage and trespass, and one girl was released without charge.
