Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the burglary of a Frankston home over the weekend, during which priceless home videos were stolen.

It is believed the burglary occurred between 7am on 29 July and 5pm on 1 August while the 52-year-old victim was away for the weekend with his partner.

The victim told police he returned home on Monday evening to find his home had been ransacked and a number of items had been stolen including four laptops, four cameras and a television.

It is believed the offender/s gained access to the home through a window before exiting through the back door by breaking a lock.

Among the items stolen were videos containing footage of the victim’s two daughters during their childhood years.

Unfortunately the victim does not have any copies of the videos.

Police are urging anyone with information about the burglary or who might know the whereabouts of the victim’s priceless memories to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or log onto crimestoppersvic.com.au.
