THE front of a real estate building in Chelsea was destroyed by a car last week, 21 August.

The driver was travelling along Nepean Highway when they swerved to avoid a pedestrian, clipped another car, then crashed into the building at around 4.30pm on 21 August.

Paramedics, police, Fire Rescue Victoria, and Chelsea SES attended the scene. Multiple people were attended to, and one was airlifted to hospital.

Nepean Highway was closed between Thames Promenade and Argyle Avenue while the scene was cleaned up.

A statement on the Chelsea SES Facebook read “it was incredibly lucky that there were no pedestrians walking along Nepean Highway at the time, or the outcome could have been much worse.”
