A BUILDER has signed on to complete the $1.8 million upgrade of Peter Scullin Reserve.

A new playground will be built at the Mordialloc park. The playground will include ropes, accessible equipment, a tunnel, musical instruments, swings, a slide, and water features.

Construction begins in March of 2023. Kingston mayor Hadi Saab said “we received really positive feedback during our community consultation on the project last summer. We heard what our community wanted and this is reflected in the final plans. People particularly liked the beach theme and the fact the playground will offer something for everyone.”

“With planning and approvals now completed and funding secured we are looking forward to moving forward with this exciting project,” he said.

Kingston Council ratepayers will cover the majority of the cost. The state government will put in $300,000. The project will be undertaken by Yellowstone Landscaping Pty Ltd.
