A LOCAL Aboriginal artist has designed a new uniform for healthcare workers at Frankston Hospital.
The new uniforms were designed by artist Eamon Roberts. Peninsula Health says the new scrubs will “recognise and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Indigenous community and help us to establish a stronger connection between Aboriginal patients and healthcare providers.”
“As part of our commitment to National Reconciliation and promoting inclusivity within our organisation, we are excited to unveil our bright new Aboriginal Health uniforms,” a Peninsula Health spokesperson said.
“This initiative aims to recognise and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Aboriginal community while fostering a sense of unity and respect among our diverse workforce. The uniforms act as a powerful visual representation of our organisation’s dedication to fostering cultural awareness and promoting diversity. Designed by local artist Eamon Roberts, the colourful unique design acts as a conversation starter.”
