Moorabbin Highway Patrol officers are appealing for public assistance after a two-car collision in Chelsea Heights that has left one man in a critical condition yesterday.

It’s believed a silver Toyota van with three male occupants was travelling inbound on Mornington Peninsula Freeway at 3.48pm.

The Toyota turned off at Springvale Road and approached the intersection when it collided with a white Nissan van.

All occupants from both vehicles were injured and taken to hospital.

The driver of the Toyota, who is yet to be formally identified, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The two passengers in the Toyota were treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the Nissan, a 38-year-old Keysborough man, was also treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

Anyone with dashcam footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
