GENEROUS donors have banded together to help give an injured puppy a second lease on life.
5-month-old Remy is facing a long road to recovery after breaking all of her toes in her front paw. A fundraiser to help Remy’s owners, a Langwarrin family, pay for treatment has raised more than $3000. The Gofundme, established by Remy’s owner Amanda, read “our beautiful 5-month-old puppy Remy had a terrible accident and broke all the toes in her front paw. What we first thought was a sprain turned into an emergency vet visit, X-rays, pain relief, a cast, and now possible surgery with a specialist.”
“As a family already under financial pressure caring for children with disabilities, this unexpected emergency has completely overwhelmed us emotionally and financially. But she is part of our family and we want to give her every chance to heal properly and live a happy pain-free life,” the fundraiser read. “We are asking for any help, no matter how small, to go toward emergency vet treatment, x-rays and pain relief, cast and bandage changes, specialist surgeon consultations, possible surgery and ongoing care.”
