FRANKSTON resident Jack Matthewman celebrated his 100th birthday last week.
Matthewman was born in England in 1926. He and his family migrated to Australia just six months after his birth, and he has since spent most of his life on the Mornington Peninsula.
As a young man Matthewman played electric organ and was a regular attendee at local dances. He later went on to work for a toolmaking business.
Matthewman resides at Regis Frankston, which hosted his 100th birthday party last week. He still enjoys a friendly chat, and watching Essendon play football.
