MORE candidates from across the political spectrum have nominated to contest Mordialloc and Carrum at the upcoming state election.
Labor currently holds both seats, with Tim Richardson and Sonya Kilkenny elected to represent Mordialloc and Carrum respectively in 2014. They will both re-contest their seats in November, with the Liberals announcing Paul O’Halloran as Mordialloc candidate and Jeff Shelley as Carrum candidate last month.
Last week, One Nation announced that bus driver Joshua Mathews would be the party’s candidate for Carrum. Nurse Nadia Ticehurst was announced as One Nation’s Mordiallic candidate.
The Greens have also entered the race for the bayside seats, announcing hospitality worker Zoe Pegrum as Carrum candidate and software developer Alex Breskin as Mordialloc candidate.
Mahee Hossain is expected to contest Mordialloc for the Victorian Socialists.
