Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are on the hunt for a thief who used a stolen credit card to commit a series of deceptions across Melbourne’s south-east.

The credit card was used to purchase cigarettes, a skateboard, gift cards and alcohol at a number of stores in Frankston, Springvale and Mulgrave between 12.30-3.00pm on 13 October.

Each of the purchases were under $100 and were made using tap and go technology.

In total, almost $400 was spent at six stores.

Police are investigating how the credit card was obtained.

Investigators have trawled through CCTV and released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
