Man stabbed in Seaford dies

A man stabbed during an altercation in Seaford yesterday has died in hospital this afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to Carder Avenue around 10am after a man was located with life threatening injuries.

The 45-year-old Seaford man was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died from his injuries today.

A 46-year-old Frankston man was airlifted to hospital this morning following a stand- off with police at a home in Dandenong Road East overnight.

The man, who sustained gunshot wounds during the incident, remains in a serious condition under police guard.

Homicide Squad detectives are now investigating the incident.
