A SEAFORD truck driver has been charged by police over an accident which killed a Herald Sun journalist last week.Sports journalist Sam Landsberger was struck by a truck at the intersection of Bridge Road and Church Street in Richmond at around 10.20am on 20 August. The 35-year-old was taken to hospital but died a short time later.The driver of the truck was a 45-year-old man from Seaford. A FRANKSTON man has been ordered to pay $500 towards environmental projects after he tossed a burning cigarette butt from a car in Tyabb. A witness reported seeing the man throw the burning cigarette from the window of a Mitsubishi Lancer travelling along Coolart Road just after midnight on 31 August last year.The state’s environmental watchdog EPA Victoria says cigarette butts are the most common type of litter, often ending up in Port Phillip through drains and waterways.
