CONSTRUCTION has begun on a 2.3 kilometre pipeline to deliver recycled water across Frankston.The Monterey Recycled Water Scheme is a $1.3 million project paid for by the state government, South East Water, Frankston City Council, and the Long Island National Golf Club. The planned pipeline will be able to deliver 98 megalitres of recycled water each year. MORDIALLOC resident Brendan Spencer is chasing a paralympic dream in blind football, backed by a lifetime of support from Guide Dogs Victoria.Born with vision impairment, Spencer has worked closely with the organisation with his guide dog, Gunner, playing a therapeutic role in his counselling work, as well as helping create calm and connection in sessions with vulnerable clients. “The organisation helped me navigate the world with confidence. IMPROVEMENTS to local bus routes are being sought by Kingston Council.Community consultation is underway to determine Kingston Council’s advocacy priorities for bus route improvements. WITH the memory of his late cousin driving him, 11-year-old Hudson Gates will shave his head next month to raise money for pancreatic cancer care.Hudson Gates’ cousin Jaz died from pancreatic cancer aged just 39. The 11-year-old said “Jaz was so special to us. I’m doing this so that fewer families have to go through what ours did.”Hudson will be supported by Jaz’s three young children.
