A MAN was arrested in Keysborough last week in connection to an alleged heroin syndicate in Springvale.On Wednesday, 26 June, police raided a business and a factory on Bando Road in Springvale and a Keysborough home. They allegedly found heroin with an estimated street value of $40,000, and around 250 grams of methylamphetamine with an estimated street value of $35,000 during the searches. They also allegedly uncovered almost $45,000, mobile phones, a Subaru BRZ allegedly stolen from Doveton, passports, and security badges.Police arrested a 49-year-old man at the home on Princeton Drive in Keysborough. Police have charged two men after tracking an allegedly stolen car throughout Melbourne’s south this morning. Officers spotted the stolen red Hyundai hatchback allegedly driving erratically and speeding near the Nepean Highway in Aspendale about 12.45am. Uniform officers, along with Operation Trinity units, kept a safe distance and observed the Hyundai travelling at alleged speeds of approximately 120km/h near the South Gippsland Freeway in Dandenong. THE completion of the new pavilion at Lloyd Park in Langwarrin was celebrated at a function last week.The new two-storey pavilion has been officially opened. The $6.5 million project features four changerooms, an umpires’ rooms, toilets, first aid rooms, a canteen, a lift, a kitchen, and new car parking.Frankston Council and the federal government each put money towards the project – council spent $3.5 million and the federal government spent $3 million.The original pavilion was 50-years-old. Homicide Squad detectives have arrested two people as part of the investigation into the death of a man in Frankston earlier this month. A 34-year-old Bayswater man was arrested on 20 June and charged with murder. He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 24 October. Detectives arrested a 29-year-old Seaford man yesterday. He was interviewed and subsequently released pending further enquiries.
