VOLUNTEERS converged on Keast Park and the surrounding foreshore last week to conduct a clean-up effort. 196 Chelsea BeachPatrol, 3198 Seaford BeachPatrol, and the Carrum Down Adventures and Pathfinders came together to clean up trash from the sand and scrubs. NEARLY $2 million is set to be spent on road upgrades on Beilby Street. Kingston Council has awarded a $1.93 million contract to improve the Moorabbin road. The project will encompass the full reconstruction of the asphalt road pavement, construction of new drainage pipes and pits, and the improvement of nearby footpaths, crossings, and kerbs. BONBEACH Primary School students watched on as Life Saving Victoria’s helicopter landed at the school last week. The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service visit was part of the inaugural “National Red & Yellow Day” last Wednesday, 4 March.
