MOONLIT Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park has officially opened a new Aquatic Fauna Conservation Facility, marking a significant step forward in its 25 years of wildlife conservation. ANOTHER attempt to rescind a Kingston Council grant awarded to the Druze Community Charity of Victoria has failed. Last year Kingston councillors assessed the possibility of cancelling the three-year grant, but ultimately voted to retain funding for the community group on the condition that “events funding in years 2 and 3 must be held in Kingston and that additional support be provided to groups should they require assistance to find suitable Kingston venues”. A NEW park is set to be built on Young Street across from Frankston Railway Station. 76 Young Street was purchased by Frankston Council in 2025. At its most recent council meeting, council advanced a proposal to demolish the existing building and install a community garden. A motion at the council meeting read that “Urban Design completed concept options for the new 76 Young Street Laneway, which were presented to council through a Hot Topics report. The latest round of applications for Frankston Council’s Destination Event Attraction Program is open until 8 March.
